August 18, 2015, is the deadline for eligible nationals of Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone to register for Temporary Protected Status (“TPS”).  Also included in this group are people without nationality who last habitually resided in one of those three countries.    The TPS designations for these three countries run from Nov. 21, 2014, through May 21, 2016. Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone are Awarded Temporary Protected Status Designations

On November 20, 2014, the Secretary of Homeland Security announced that he would be designating Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months, effective November 21, 2014 through May 20, 2015. This is in large part due to the extensiveness and severity of the Ebola outbreak ravaging the region. Temporary Protected Status Extended for Honduras and Nicaragua

On October 17, 2014, the Secretary of Homeland Security announced that he would be extending the Temporary Protected Status for eligible nationals from Honduras and Nicaragua for an additional 18 months, effective January 6, 2015 through July 5, 2016.
