Maria del Carmen Ramos, an immigration partner in our Tampa office, was invited by Representative Kathy Castor to attend the Family Defender Orientation. The event was a discussion to better educate State partners on the new guidelines of President Obama’s recent executive actions on immigration accountability and the resources available in Tampa Bay.
Maria devotes a substantial portion of her practice to counseling clients on immigration and employment issues. On the immigration side, Maria has extensive experience helping employers obtain H-1B and E visas and employment based green cards on behalf of foreign workers employed. She also helps companies with global operations obtain L-1 visas on behalf of their foreign-based employees so that the employees can open up an office in the United States or transfer to the U.S. operations, as well as helping those companies obtain visas in China and Mexico on behalf of their U.S.-based employees.
Maria received her J.D. from The University of Miami School of Law and her B.A. from Yale University.
